Expectations, Questions, and Answers
In order to serve you better, we would like to share the most common questions and concerns our Buyer’s have about the relationship between them and their real estate agent.
Q Do I need another agent to see homes that are not listed by RE/MAX?
A No, we can show you any property that is for sale in our Multiple Listing Service (MLS) whether listed by RE/MAX Executive Realty or any other real estate company. Additionally, we can show you homes that are For-Sale-By-Owner.
Q How are you paid?
A Our agents work by commission only. We receive our share of the real estate commission after you have closed on your new property. The commission is generally paid by the seller and is shared by the listing company, the listing agent, the selling company and the selling agent.
Our agents are all self-employed and are responsible for their business expenses including automobile, gasoline, insurance, mobile phones, office supplies and all expenses related to owning a business. Our agents do not receive any employee benefits or any other company reimbursements. Instead they bear these costs in anticipation of a satisfied client and a successful sale.
Q Do you work for me or for the Seller of the home I am interested in?
A Our agents are delighted to represent you in the purchase of your property as a Buyer’s Agent, or if you purchase a property listed by RE/MAX Executive Realty, our agents will act as a Designated Agent so they are assigned to solely represent you. Should you find a home that your Buyer’s Agent has listed, that agent can act as a Dual Agent representing both you and the Seller. Once you meet with an agent from our office, they will provide you with a brochure titled “Working with Real Estate Agents”. Together you will discuss the different forms of agency to make sure you understand the relationship between you and your real estate agent.
Please rely on your agent exclusively to assist you in the purchase of your new home. You can call them when you see a property you wish to visit whether on the internet, in a real estate publication, or driving through neighborhoods. If you stop by an Open House or a New Home Community, please give the on-site agent the name and phone number of your agent and tell them that your RE/MAX Executive Agent is assisting you in the purchase of your new home.
We hope that this is informative and answers some of your questions on how we work. All of our agents are dedicated hard working professionals and your loyalty is greatly appreciated. Together we will work as a team and we promise to give to you 100% of our time and expertise to make this the most memorable experience possible.
