Charlotte shoppers have easy access to a variety of shopping areas throughout the city. Many new areas have been developed to house unique specialty shops and restaurants. Located in South Charlotte is the South Park Mall with Nordstrom’s, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s and many other very nice stores. You can window shop right down the street at Phillips Place where there is fine dining including The Palm, Upstream, Dean and Deluca’s and many other restaurants. There even is a movie theater.
Pineville/Matthews also has a lot of shopping and restaurants conveniently located off of I-485. There you will find Dick’s Sporting Goods, Toys R Us, Carolina Place Mall, and many furniture stores. Matthews has to offer, Costco, Old Navy, World Market, Peir One Imports, and many more stores.
Birkdale Village, north of the city is similar to Phillips Place with high end window shopping, fine dining, and a movie theater. It is not unusual any time of the year to see people lingering on the streets. Our newest mall named North Lake is located off of Hwy 77 is near there. It is a very thriving area.
Concord Mills is an outlet mall with many many sq miles of shopping. It is located near Lowes Motor Speedway. There you will get your exercise shopping! Every store you can imagine under one roof. Come prepared to find a SALE!
